This program is a two-phase program.

First (Identify) by identifying the individuals that transportation is a barrier for employment. Partnering with DVR, CEP, Nicolet, Sheltered Workshops, and other employment agencies.

Second (Assist) With this partnership the individual in need will be connected with the Mobility Manager at Rusk County Transit. The Mobility Manager will work with the individual to devise a plan that will meet their needs. The Mobility Manager will then work with the well-trained staff at Rusk County Transit to schedule reliable, affordable transportation to and from the work site. This transportation will continue for a designated length of time. The time will be determined on a case-by-case basis depending on the individual needs.

Making a Reservation

5 Easy Steps for Ride Reservation

  1. Please call as soon as you know you need a ride.
  2. Provide your name, address,  and number of riders.
  3. Inform dispatch where you are going, appointment times, and how the trip will be paid.
  4. Inform dispatch if you use a mobility device, or if you require a personal attendant to assist you.
  5. You will be given a “window of time” for your pick-up. The driver will wait 3 minutes.

*Cancel reservation as soon as you know that no ride is needed.
